Charlie's soccer game was a blast to watch also.  Charlie was a stud scoring goals.

Lukas Soccer Game

With this being Lukas' first year playing soccer, we are super impressed with his ball handling skills. 

He's calculated with his moves on the field.

Soccer Saturday

Lukas had a double header and did great during both games!  He was really good at dribbling the ball and got a few good monster kicks in.

Children's Park

At long last, the kiddos have been anxiously awaiting the re-opening of the Children's Park.  The gates were open the day before the big opening celebration so we took advantage of the lighter crowds.  We saw lots of friends and it was definitely worth the wait!

Mystery Box

One of the favorite days at school is when it's your turn to bring the Mystery Box.  It's show and tell with clues the child writes to have other kids guess what the child brought. 

The kids feel so special up in the chair - especially with the introduction every child gets.

Lukas brought his new Lego Avenger set that a friend gave him for his birthday.  He was so proud that we put it together; plus, it has some pretty cool tricks he wanted to show off.

Soccer Season has begun

The first night of soccer practice is in the books.  Both Charlie and Lukas are playing this year.  Paul is coaching Lukas' team, which Lukas absolutely loves.

Triathlon Interview

They were interviewing kids at the triathlon and Charlie got called up to talk.  So cute!

Today Charlie did the Gorge Kids Triathlon and completed the long distance of the course.  He had a blast!

More First Day Pics

Here are more first day of school pictures!  We also love doing the pages that tell us about each boy and their favorite things at the start and end of the school year.  It will be fun to look back on these in the future.

Lukas' first day of Kindergarten

Today Lukas got his morning photo shoot (ha ha!) and had his first day of Kindergarten.  He is on his third year at Bright Beginnings school.  This year he moved up to Scott's class and entered Kindergarten.  We are so excited to see him blossom and have his love of learning expand even more.  I can't wait to see what this year has in store for him.

Charlie's 1st day of Second Grade

Bear with me as I will be a few days delayed with the "fancy" pics documenting the first day of school.  You know, the chalkboard ones with what the child want to be when they grow up...yep, those ones.  We did the whole show this morning (ha ha!) but have a major glitch at the moment.  We recently got new laptops and discovered that my new laptop doesn't have the same slots for transferring my photos over using an SD card (gasp!).  So a USB cord is on it's way...thank goodness for Amazon Prime.

Anyways - Charlie had his first day of second grade today.  He's back at Horizon again; this year with Mrs. Kingrey.  There are only nine students in his class and all of them are returning from last year...so he was super excited to be back with his former clan. He even gets to sit at his table group with his best buds Elliot and Cameron. 

Labor Day in Marrowstone

We spent the long three day weekend at the cabin in Marrowstone.  It's not very often that all of Paul's sisters are there at the same time, so it was an extra special visit.  We did all of our favorites:
