Worker Man

This is how Lukas helps spread bark chips around the lawn border.  His crew is on the job!

Life with Boys

One of Lukas' favorite things during the Holiday is our Christmas village.  He always plays with the figurines and a few days ago I came across this scene.

I am wondering what was going through his mind as he placed the horses that way.  And it would be pretty dangerous for that man on the gazebo roof!

The boys are also both into Legos, at the moment Star Wars especially.  I also came across this arrangement that Lukas created.  I wonder what mission the Storm Troopers are on?

Future Business Owner

Lukas' yard is open for business.  He's got the best selection of kindling, rocks, and mulch on the street.  Free delivery for customers within a five minute walk.

Worker Man

Lukas is still obsessed with being a "worker man".  He loves anything that has to do with working outside on equipment.  He stole daddy's ear muffs to cruise around the yard pretending to be at work.

Freckles

With all of the outside time the boys have been getting, Lukas has been growing a few more freckles.  This was actually taken a week ago, and he has even more now!!

Future Logger

Daddy went to the Logging Show in Eugene this week and Lukas got to play hooky from school. He was right in his element.  Don't be surprised if he starts a club some day -- FLA (Future Loggers of America).

Good little traveler

Testing out the machine Daddy bought.

One more time before leaving

All tuckered out from the long, exciting day.

Helper boys

I love that my boys are willing to do acts of service (well...for a few bucks that is).

But Lukas truly has a heart of gold.  He went back outside after the sidewalk was finished (which is the area I paid them a few bucks to do), and he decided to do the driveway - just because.  He even put up cones, well because, safety first!!

First missing tooth

Lukas lost his first tooth, just before Thanksgiving.  It's only a matter of time before the rest of the chiclets start coming out.

More Weekend Highlights

Soccer Saturday

Lukas has great hustle.

Fall brings acorns (a lot!), and without being asked, Lukas cleaned them all up from the driveway.

School Days

I visited the boys for lunch and recess  a few weeks ago and got to see them in action.

Lukas is already conquering the thing he wanted to do this year - learn to do the monkey bars!

He is also good at king of the mountain.

Charlie spends his time in the gaga ball pit.  Now I understand why I can no longer see the checkers on his Vans.  It will make a great mud pit once it starts raining more frequently.

And isn't this the cutest self portrait you've seen!?  The dots are his freckles.  I about melted when the teacher told me what they were.

Lukasism

My little collector of "stuff".

He's always playing with it, storing it, tying it together, hiding it, and making piles out of it.  Today's collection was his stuffies and his random assortment of knick knacks (in the bucket).

Blast from the past

Does anyone remember what this is - ha ha!

Lukas got his hands on one in California recently and has been on a picture taking storm ever since.
(Note: the cameras are absolutely awful on it, so we game him an old iPhone we had lying around.  Maybe he can do a guest blog post sometime soon!)

Lukas

We've had quite a few updates about Charlie lately, so I thought I would share a little bit about Lukas.

First of all, he is just the most lovable little guy.  He always offers us his sweet kisses and hugs.  He loves his mommy and daddy and still wants to be held a lot (which is getting harder every day as he grows). He has such a HUGE imagination and silly personality!  I can't wait to see where it takes him.
