Indoor Futsal

Winter Futsal has begun!  This year, Lukas also got to play on a team.  Paul is a trooper for coaching both teams!

Despite the team being down a player, the kids had tons of hustle!

Charlie's team had many of his prior futsal teammates, and a few new ones!

Secret Scrimmage

At the end of the club season there was a secret scrimmage where the coach arranged to have the kids play the adults.  It was a hoot!

Both boys had a  great season this year! A busy few months but it's so worth it to see them improve as the season goes on.  Here are a few highlights:

Soccer Saturdays

As much as sports can be weekend killers (as Paul puts it), we love watching our kids play sports they are passionate about.  And this weekend gave us gorgeous fall days to be on the sidelines.  We are so proud of all of their hard work at practice and during games.

Hood River got a close win - phew it was a nail biter!

Then, Charlie was invited to play with the next older team, as they needed a few extra players.  He's in the center with his arms extended.  He was able to get a goal in to tie up the game and helping his team avoid defeat with a 3-3 score.

Soccer Season

Soccer season has come to a close...it's always sad when it ends.

Charlie got to play goalie for part of his game, and he did great! 

Their team went undefeated!   

More Weekend Highlights

Soccer Saturday

Lukas has great hustle. 

Fall brings acorns (a lot!), and without being asked, Lukas cleaned them all up from the driveway.

Soccer Saturdays

Soccer Saturdays have now begun.  This is our first year having our time split between two locations and times. 

Charlie had a great game and they won 3 - 2.  Unfortunately I was cheering too much and I didn't get any pics.

Lukas had a great game as well.  He has become an aggressive little player.  They don't "technically" keep score at that age, but the kids always do anyways.  Lukas assures everyone his team got more goals; one of them being from him! 

Bubblewrap and Duct tape

A little bubble wrap and duct tape for padding and Charlie was ready to get back on the lacrosse field.  Despite the difficulties handling his stick, he made a few goals.

We are so proud of his tenacity.  He's still living up to his nickname, the honey badger.

Then off to his soccer game.  

It was a great match and the cast doesn't slow Charlie down one bit!

With this being Lukas' first year playing soccer, we are super impressed with his ball handling skills. 

He's calculated with his moves on the field.

After halftime he really turned it on and scored three goals!

Lukas had a double header and did great during both games!  He was really good at dribbling the ball and got a few good monster kicks in.

Soccer Season has begun

The first night of soccer practice is in the books.  Both Charlie and Lukas are playing this year.  Paul is coaching Lukas' team, which Lukas absolutely loves.
