House Projects - part 1

For the past several months the Joneses have been embarking in some pretty significant house projects.  We still have some finishing touches to do, but I thought I would share some pretty amazing transformations.

Front Entry Way --

Before:

Luckily, we remembered to snag a "before" picture before the construction began. The concrete had just been poured for the new posts (hence the upside down buckets to avoid any accidents on the pegs sticking up)

During:

Paul cut down this Doug Fir and we had it milled down.  A friend (who does amazing work) built the entry arch.  This is jointed together so there are hardly any nails.

We added a new section to the roof and this will eventually have a french door.

"After" (though technically still not done yet):

The roof and siding are on, and all we have to do is the door threshold, a light fixture and tile for the porch.

It changes the entire look of our house!
