St. Patty's Day treats

The day was definitely full of more sweets than usual.  

Lucky Charms for breakfast AND in a similar version of Rice Krispie Treats. 

Maybe next year we will bake the night before and entice the leprechaun into the traps with the goodies and trap him with the gooey marshmallows.

We also decided to taste the rainbow with these cute cupcakes.

Magically Delicious!  

(Charlie is licking his lips because he can hardly wait to dig in!)

Leprechaun Strikes

We had a leprechaun visit last night but unfortunately we came up empty-handed for the second year in a row.

Charlie worked diligently on two traps while Lukas was at a playdate. 

But, we had a silly surprise in the morning.  This leprechaun must really think we are fools! He covered our house in streamers!

Evidence suggests he visited Lukas' room first and tried to tie him up.

The trap door worked, but he still ran off with the pennies.

 Next, he covertly visited Charlie's room.

And again, he escaped the trap.  I don't know how Charlie slept through this one with three bells on the side as an alarm.  But he slipped out stealthily underneath the trap anyways.

I guess there is always next year...

Science Fair

Charlie earned 4th place (Honorable Mention) for the Science Fair at school, out of the Second grade class.  We are so proud of him!  He even gets to go on a special field trip to OMSI with the other winners.
