Merry Christmas Charlie Brown

Charlie made his acting debut as none other than - Charlie Brown.  The kids did a great job during the short skit.

Merry Christmas

What a lovely week celebrating Christmas.   We missed seeing family in California, but thankful that technology makes it possible to seem like they are right here with us.  What did we do before Face Time!?  Here are some pics for family near and far.

Looking spiffy!

Pure joy when he got a Russel Wilson jersey.

Lukas has already out in the mud breaking in his Excavator.

Unicorns

At Kindergarten, the teacher lets the kids vote on what they want to learn about.  (I know, right!?!  Can it get any better!)  The unit the class voted for this time was Unicorns.

So...what better way to learn about them, than to ride some!

Lukasism

It's been a while since I have posted a Lukasism.  He is still quite imaginative and he still has an inclination towards hoarding little trinkets.  It always gives me a smile to open a drawer in his room, look under a dresser, or behind a toy in his closet; there is likely a little stash of treasures that Lukas has stored away for himself.  It is typically an item of little to no value (junk), except to Lukas' inquisitive eyes.

I was cleaning out Lukas' backpack from school and here is what I found...an old sticker sheet, lots of pebbles from the school playground, a little stick, a few coins, and a few "trinkets."

He often stores random items in his cubby at school which we then have to clean out.  I found a paper satchel he had made, which we brought home.  Once home, he added items to carry around and store in it.

The contents: a Christmas penguin, a ninja glove, papers from his cubby at school, and the rest were items I am pretty sure he collected at school (rocks, sticks, piece of metal, popsicle stick, coins, etc.)

Here is one of my favorite Lukasisms from the past: 2016 Lukasism
