Easter 2017

This year we missed attending a traditional egg hunt, so we did a Scavenger Egg Hunt today at home.  The "Easter Bunny" made a visit while we were at church...

 The boys were really into the clues and finding all of the eggs.

 They finally made their way to the prize...

Miscellaneous

We're back to the daily grind so I thought I would share some uneventful (but cute) items from everyday life.

Charlie is pictured here with one of the dogs that is at the boy's school, Jagger.  Charlie is almost always by his side.  He loves animals so much.

Lukas is still hoping for some snow.  Um...no thank you...

Home Sweet Home

We were glad to arrive home and the sunshine continued.  We got out the quads and took them for a spin around the yard.

The boys rode them so much they ran the batteries down and the truck had to get a tow.

So while he waited, Lukas decided to get it spiffed up a bit and ready for next time.

Lego Land

On our third, and last, full day in San Diego we ventured to Lego Land.  The boys of course had a blast and luckily the crowds weren't too bad.  Did I mention yet that Auntie Dena came to San Diego with us too!

The little rides weren't cutting it for Charlie...so we had to step it up a bit.  

Even got Grammy to go along for the thrill ride!

San Diego - Day 2 continued

We had such full days...the afternoon on the second day we went to the beach.  It was the perfect beach weather - not too hot and not too cold.  No wind at all and the waves were big.

Lukas dug in this spot for hours...literally hours.

Charlie loved frolicking in the waves and here he is jumping and swinging in the water with dad and grandpa (Far Far).  See them in the middle of the pic making their way out.  

After a bit he was body surfing - which he couldn't get enough of.

San Diego - Day 2

Day 2 was another fun filled day.  In the morning we went to the USS Midway.  The boys loved walking through the passage ways and especially seeing all of the aircraft on board.

The highlight was the skydiving show that the Navy Seals put on, landing right on the flight deck.  We actually got to see them jump twice - their practice jump and the show jump.  They made it look so effortless.  Charlie got to give a few of them a high five too.

We were so lucky to have both sets of grandparents with us.  The boys soaked up every ounce of time with them.

Spring Break Adventures

My favorite part of returning back from a trip is unpacking -- said no one EVER!!  It is actually looking back at all of the fun pictures.  They never do the moments justice, but at least they capture some of the fun times.  We had our annual warm weather getaway to San Diego this year.  So much fun!

The first day we ventured off to the Zoo.   I can see why everyone talks about it so much - it was fantastic.

We all did lots of walking and the boys did lots of climbing on anything they saw.

The weather was perfect!
