Lukas

While Charlie is in California, it's business as usual around our place.  Lukas has been such a helper.

He upgraded from his Cozy Coupe (see flashback here) to an SUV vehicle, which by now has gone miles and miles and miles, around our property.  He's gotten pretty handy at loading it up and taking boxes to the burn pile, finding dad and telling him it's time for dinner, and just surveilling the yard making sure those darn gophers stay away.

Road Trip

What an adventure to drive down to Lake Tahoe with Mimi and Far Far!

First pit stop was to skip rocks on the Deschutes River.

Helping the time go by...

On Day 2 he got to see a classic car show in Reno.

Making memories of a lifetime!!

Round 2 with Far Far and Mimi

Round 2 came and Mimi and Far Far rolled back in town.  The boys put Far Far to work building a wodden piggy bank for Far Far to fill (ha ha!)

After a few more days of fun, Mimi and Far Far headed back down to California - taking Charlie with them!  Of course stay tuned for some posts of his good times on his California adventure.

Lost Lake

Then we headed up out of the heat to Lost Lake.  It was perfect going mid-week without too many people.

Before arriving we took a pit stop to see Daddy's logging site which is on the way to Whatum Lake (very close by to Lost Lake).  The boys think it is always a treat to see the equipment running.  It was especially exciting as there was an assembly line of activity happening - a yarder, a processor, a log loader, and a log truck.

And the view's not bad either!

Once we arrived at Lost Lake we had a relaxing row on the lake for a picnic lunch.    Can't get enough pics with the beautiful mountain in the background.

Then we played on the shore and in the water a bit before heading back home.  The perfect day!

Summertime visitors

I'm a bit behind in my posting, as this summer has been full of fun, family and friends.  After Mimi and Far Far's visit my parents took over as the residence grandparents.  Again, we had lots of fun adventures, such as a visit to the Waterfront park - one of our favorite spots.

The wind was ripping good, perfect for a high flying kite.

Charlie being silly

Bouncing

And, I don't know what it is that makes this kid so silly, but Lukas had us in stitches...and of course we were willing to get him a bit dizzy to laugh at his expense.
