Jump, Swim, Repeat

While Charlie has been perfecting his cannon balls, can openers and belly flops, Lukas has been making great progress on his swimming. 

Lukas hurls himself into the pool,

 Swims a couple of feet to the waiting adult,

Swims back to the wall with aid of a push,

then repeats! -- over, and over, and over, and...

We had a blast celebrating Lukas turning 3 with a Lumberjack Fiesta.  We had the party a week early since family was in town.  Here are a few highlights!

Worms

Lukas was so proud he found some "snakes" in the dirt.  Well...to his credit, they WERE pretty big worms!  Glad neither of the boys had pockets today...

Reflections of Marrowstone

Here are some final memories from our visit...

Charlie and Uncle Jim didn't make many friends by getting too close to the sea gull's nests.  There were tons of speckled eggs in all that grass!

What a relaxing 4th of July weekend we had at our cabin on Marrowstone Island.  Our home away from home!

The boys got to choose from exploring sandy beaches to rocky beaches.  Charlie got pretty good at skipping rocks into the ocean.

Lukas collected tons of sea shells and practically held one everywhere he went, especially the ones with ridges. 

We had a blast!
