Family
We don't get to see the aunties much - so Lukas made sure to get in plenty of snuggle time. And, of course the lovely ladies obliged.

Islanders
We love our periodic trips to the cabin on Marrowstone Island. This trip didn't disappoint...
The boys had plenty of beach time:
The next beach trip Charlie insisted on wearing shorts so he could go into the water further and no socks...brrrrr!!!
And we witnessed another Tractor Days parade:
Here are a few highlights showing how the islanders do a tractor parade.
Don't pull the wrong lever...!
Beer anyone?

Lukas' recap
And the favorites for Lukas:
He loves looking at Daddy's magazines and all of the log trucks in them.
Instead of the water, Lukas stuck to the dry land where the trucks and dirt were.
Dirty "paws" on the table (anything goes when camping I guess!!)
Getting cleaned up (for at least a few moments)
Going to bed when it's light outside and you can hear the fun happening without you, is NO fun!

Charlie's recap
Here are some shots of Charlie's favorite moments:
A fun (safe) bridge just off of our camp site.
A fun (make my heart-jump-out-of-my-chest) bridge pretty much directly on our camp site. Needless to say the boys went back and forth probably a hundred times. They were actually really careful and listened to the adults' directions very well.

Charlie gives camping two thumbs up!

C is for Camping
We took our first camp trip of the season - woo hoo! We had perfect weekend weather and had a blast. The campground wasn't technically open until the following weekend so we had the place to ourselves. Our campsite was right on the water with a little shore so of course that is where the boys spent most of their time.
I'll probably post pics for a few days because there were a lot of fun moments we'd love to share. Here goes...
Charlie spent HOURS (literally) in the cold water - and I mean take your breath away cold. His legs would get red and his feet would start cramping when he got out. A water boy at heart!!
The boys had fun gathering camp fire wood and transporting it around.
The kids table
The master fire maker
The master marshmallow eater
The master roaster
And of course, bedtime stories around the campfire!

Up Close and Personal
A trip to the zoo didn't disappoint...
It was fun watching these two have a ball together.
Lukas is all about that swag and a backwards hat.
