The BIG 40!!

What a fun day celebrating daddy' birthday!  We took a trip out to the woods for a birthday lunch.

Not only did Charlie get to ride in the log truck out to the job site, Charlie got to help load logs.

Only a manly man can pull off this hat!

A boy's playground scene...

These boys ought to keep Paul young at heart!

More Outdoor Play

These boys spent quite a while yesterday finding rocks in the yard and lining them up.  I love how they are able to play together more and more.  These simple (and random) moments are so special.

On a mission....

Playmates

Lukas copies everything Charlie is doing these days.  I captured some sweet playtime moments today in the BEAUTIFUL weather.

Wait up big bro!!

Something about Lukas' look here is just so precious!

Lukas can't quite make it into the Lilac bush yet...but he sure tried.

Happy St. Patty's Day

What do we love best about St. Patrick's Day?  Green eggs and green pancakes!!

Usually there is an avoidance by Lukas of any thing green (aka vegetables),
however he scarfed up the green pancakes and eggs.
Maybe I should do this for a while and then he will think all green food tastes yummy...

Charlie is a good sport and loves being silly in his St. Patty's Day hat.

Lukas on the other hand, not so much...
he's not exactly exuding any desire for any kisses.

This hat, however, is his go-to hat...a perfect choice for this particular day!

Choo Choo!!

All aboard for playtimes that are not filled with tears (well, mostly)!  Woo hoo! The boys usually like to play with what the other one has ("grass is always greener" mentality), making for a lot of refereeing.  However lately, they have been interacting more successfully during indoor playtime.  Hoping this will be a regular occurrence.

Lukas' favorite feature was the bridge and watching the trains go down, again and again.

Loving these sweet, simple moments!!

Zapatos

Lukas can't quite get his own pairs on by himself, so he opts for ones with easier access...

Whoop-dees

Charlie's prior bike was so heavy he couldn't really make it over these whoop-dees.  With his new bike he flies through the Family Man feature.
