Playground Fun at the Oregon Coast

Every destination our family goes, we are on the search for the best playgrounds.  This weekend, while at the coast in Bandon, OR, we scored big time!

This one's too easy so Charlie decided he's going to go down on his stomach...

...and then do a 180 jump off of it.

Whistler, BC

Our trip in Canada just kept getting better.  Nothing wrong with staying at an Intrawest resort in Whistler to top it off!

The skiing conditions weren't "beary" nice for a toddler, so no skiing for Charlie today.  

 But...who needs a pair of skis when you have swim trunks and a heated pool 

with a water-slide ?!  

This was early on day 1 on the slide.  After a few times down, Charlie was forcing whoever was holding him, to lay down like a luge so he could go faster (see pic below).

The need for speed with Uncle Jim.

We could hardly tear him away...the first thing he said when he woke up each morning was, "I want to go outside to the pool!"  He would say this even before demanding eggies and pancakes for breakfast.  

He also kept daddy extremely busy trying to keep up with his cannon balls.  He launched himself into the pool time after time, not really worried if someone was nearby to catch him.

Vancouver, BC

Canada - we made it!  We are very lucky to have Paul's sister and her family living in Vancouver, BC right now.   One of the highlights for our time there was a trip to the aquarium. 

Charlie was mesmerized by the glowing jelly fish. 

Interesting fish everywhere you looked.
